Lifeguard Training
Train to become an American Red Cross Lifeguard. Effective lifeguarding requires commitment and a lot of work, but the benefits you receive are well worth the effort. You will know that your actions can save a life. You'll be proud to accept challenges, meet facility standards, develop leadership ability, public relations, conflict resolution, teamwork skills, gain discipline and decision making skills that help prepare you for the future. Sound like a lot? It is! and the St. Albans City Pool Staff is proud to have one of the best training models around.
Enrollment in course does not guarantee nor imply certification or employement. Participants must complete swim, practical and written tests to satisfaction to earn certification. There is no refund to participants who withdraw from or do not satisfactorily complete course.
Additional Notes:
- Fee includes materials.
- Participants should bring snacks, water, several towels and warm clothes as they will be in and out of the pool.
- Participants can expect homework each evening during the course.
- Completion of course does not imply nor guarantee employment by the St. Albans Recreation Department.
