Fishing Trip!
Kid's Free Fishing Adventure! Kids are picked up at 8am Saturday June 9th at the St. Albans City Poolhouse, transported by bus to the Grand Isle Hatchery and return back at about 1pm. Trip is chaperoned by St. Albans Recreation Department Staff. All fishing equipment is supplied. Kids just need to pack water, lunch & snacks. Space is limited. There is no fee, but kids must be pre-registered to attend.
Bus Transportation will be provided by Grand Avenue Enterprises. We will leave the hatchery at noon and expect to be back at the pool house at 1pm.
Kids will learn about:
Casting
Knot Tying
Fish Identification
Setting your hook
Fish Cleaning
Fish Biology
Baits and Lures
There is also an Arts & Crafts table including fish printing, painting and origami.
Equipment is provided for kids without their own.
