Day Camp - Counselor in Training Program The Counselor in Training (CIT) program is designed to provide young people leadership and development opportunities through "hands on" learning experiences. The program will provide participants with the opportunity to participate in camper supervision, go on field trips, assist with activities and planning in an assigned group, as well as time away from Day Camp to participate in their own programming. Afternoons will be spent at the St. Albans City Pool! CITs will develop personal skills to make decisions and define a sense of confidence and caring, becoming a future leader. All in an atmosphere of fun and friendship. Each session is 1 week in length. CITs should bring snacks, beverages, swim suit, towel, & sunscreen. Lunch is provided through the National Summer Lunch Program.
Participation in the CIT program does not imply nor guarantee future employment with the St. Albans Recreation Department.  Participants in the  CIT program participants must model appropriate behavior and language.  They must be engaged and take their responsibility seriously to be considered for this activity.

CIT Age Requirement
  • All CITs must be 14 years old at the start of the Summer Camp Season. If a child turns 14 during the course of the summer, they do not switch over to CIT until the following summer.

CIT Notes:
  • No Camp on July 4th.
  • Space is limited.
  • CITs can register for 2 to 5 days per week. You choose the days that work for your family!

PRICING OPTIONS:
5 DAYS/WEEK - $120 Residents/$156 Non-Residents
4 DAYS/WEEK - $105 Residents/$137 Non-Residents
3 DAYS/WEEK - $85 Residents/$111 Non-Residents
2 DAYS/WEEK - $63 Residents/$82 Non-Residents
